Visualizing Royal Presence in City Palace of Jaipur

An experience that would never leave my thoughts, Sabha or Meeting Room of City Palace was simply outstanding. Though, this word might not serve the purpose of describing my wonder; still, it is understandable enough to put forth my words. I have been in love with Jaipur as I find visiting palaces and forts exciting. Fascination and relativity are something that makes me come closer to such places in Jaipur. Getting back to the point; I would say that Sabha Room in City Palace reminded me of Rajputana times. The glorious life they lived, the royal attitude they had and the voluminous interiors of their rooms; everything came in front of me like an impactful visual.

The seating arrangement showcased two royal chairs in the front with face towards its attendants. And not to forget that the small stool was positioned just beyond the chair to keep a foot over it! Well, this gave me a feeling of being a part of the royal court room. Of course, the chairs placed by the side of both the thrones were meant for the royal attendants. Certainly, the sitting arrangement was graced by the red carpet and two big Hand Fans kept behind thrones. The beauty of the Sabha Room was exceptionally evident from the artistic work crafted on walls and ceilings. Typically Rajasthan Style, the detailing was done intricately.

The Royal Court Room was also dignified with Antique masterpieces and the portraits of Rajputana Kings. I found it ethereal and simply beyond royal beauty. Well, a visit to Sabha Room in City Palace of Jaipur was something that I will never forget. Literally, it made me realize the stature that Rajputana Kings used to live and the grace they had in their presence.
